I grade all projects and conduct on a rubric. Each project has it's own specific rubric, but generally I am looking to see that students are producing projects demonstrating their knowledge of the content we are studying and are working on grade level in visual arts.
Project Grades
5 - Student complete the assignment and demonstrates work above grade level
4 - Student completes the assignment and demonstrates work on grade level
3 - Student completes the assignment, but doesn't address all guidelines or work is below grade level
2 - Project is nearly complete, but several elements are missing or concepts aren't demonstrated
1 - Student turns in assignment showing no mastery of concepts
0 - no work is turned in
I feel I should mention that I rarely give out 5s on projects or on conduct as it is reserved for students showing abilities above their grade level.

Conduct Grades
These grades I decide on based on Class Dojo points. If you haven't connected to your child's Dojo yet, please email me and I can get you connected. Students with above average Dojo points will receive a score of a 5 on my rubric because they are showing character above expectations of their grade level. Students that follow all directions and expectations will receive a score of a 4. Please understand that doesn't mean they are doing anything wrong in class, and they still receive a satisfactory grade. Any grades lower than a 4 and there are some concerns about behavior.
Conduct Grades on Report Cards
5=S+ Extremely Satisfactory
4=S Satisfactory
3=S- Mostly Satisfactory with a few issues
2=N Needs Impovement
1=U Unacceptable
